Governor’s Proclamation

I hereby order all flags flown in the State of Montana to be flown at

half-staff on Friday, May 6th, 2016 for twenty-four hours to honor the memory of U.S. Senator Conrad Burns, who passed away on April 28th, 2016.

I join all Montanans in paying respect and celebrating the life of Senator Conrad Burns. Senator Burns was a dedicated father, husband, Marine, and public servant. He was a fierce advocate for all of Montana. His legacy and his work are enshrined in the farms and ranches, cities and towns, and the people and places throughout this great state.
