Governor Brownback orders flags lowered in Wyandotte County to honor Detective Brad Lancaster

Topeka - In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags in Wyandotte County to be flown at half-staff beginning sun-up Tuesday, May 10 through sun-down on Wednesday, May 11 to honor Detective Brad  Lancaster of the Kansas City Kansas Police Department. Lancaster lost his life in the line of duty on Monday, May 9.

"On behalf of all the citizens of Kansas, Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer and I, along with our families, extend our deepest sympathies to Detective Lancaster's family," said Governor Brownback. "Our prayers are with his family, friends and the entire law enforcement community."

Lancaster was a 10-year veteran of the Kansas City Kansas Police Department.
